ABOUT

Leave no stone unturned.

Ideas can be the genesis of something extraordinary and fascinating. They can have an impact like an asteroid and create a whole new world. That’s why it is so worthwhile and wonderful to develop ideas. At the very beginning you barely know how big your vision can get, but in order to create something significant, you need to put a lot of work into the process and leave no stone unturned in your quest.

Under every stone you turn, there could be a rabbit hole, changing everything.

The journey is the reward

Rome wasn’t built with one stone either

The quest to see what miracle is to be found under each stone is what defines my work as a designer. This is what UX design in general means to me. It is not about the moment of presenting the one breakthrough idea, but about the thrilling journey of exploring it, developing it, about trying and failing and trying again until you create a conceptually well-thought-out project and a unique experience. Innovation and experiments are what I am most passionate about. Under every stone you turn, there could be a rabbit hole, changing everything.

My background in design and concepting allows me to naturally fuse these two disciplines and combine aesthetics, digital knowledge and experience with conceptual wholeness.

USER EXPERIENCE
Put the users in focus and keep everything in sight
To shape and design the perfect user experience means to keep everything in mind: The user’s perception of the product or service, their reaction towards it, as well as the thrill of anticipation before using it and the fun while doing so.

Interaction
The user and the product in dialogue
User action, reaction and perception are the foundation of IxD. Every interaction creates perception and is thus a part of all user experiences that bring the product to life and define its character. Interaction design can be surprising and is the process of adjusting screws in order to make a lasting impression on the user.

Lead, guide and surprise with UI
UI sets the frame of the whole product. A perfect UI begins at the grain of sand and ends at the top of the mountain. Only a well shaped UI turns a vision into a practical reality and completes the product.

Low-Fi / High-Fi and the right question won’t give you a wrong answer
Only with prototyping and testing you can develop a product that fits its user and their needs. You can break new ground without much risk, perfect your idea and prove its usability. The testing is indispensable in every workflow and needs to fit the product perfectly. In order to find the right answers, you need to ask the right questions.

GAME Design
Games tell the greatest stories and strongly affect emotions
Every action the users take has consequences in their imaginary world. By appealing to these emotions users have an unforgettable and unique experience and will be left with a warm feeling of having done something meaningful with their time. This is the key to game design.

Storytelling
Stories shape our experiences and link them to the experiences of others
Stories are what trigger our emotions and make us empathetic. With a good story, you can attract the attention of users, take them on a journey with you and build a bridge of sympathy and understanding.

Nothing is set in stone

Let’s fight the force of habit

I want to push the boundaries in the fields of Web, App & Gaming and challenge the State of the Art. I want to question the increasing conformity of the digital sphere and with that our established habits and expectations. Another of my big concerns is the moral and ethical implications of digital design. With my work I want to touch upon political topics, social issues and focus on questions of equality in particular. It is of vital importance to me that we as designers take on the responsibility of our creations. People who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones.
